About Our Museum

Discover the legacy of the pioneers who shaped our community.

Our History

The Springville - Mapleton Daughters of Utah Pioneers Museum is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of the early settlers in this region. Organized locally in 1920, our museum has roots dating back to the early organization of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers in 1901. We have evolved from a small collection of artifacts into a comprehensive local history museum housed in the historic old public (Carnegie) library building.

Our Mission

Our purpose is to preserve and exhibit historical artifacts, pioneer photographs, documents, and personal histories. We aim to encourage visitors to research and document their own pioneer heritage and provide interactive experiences that bring the past to life. This includes hands-on activities and educational displays suitable for all ages.

What We Offer

Visitors can explore a wide range of exhibits, including pioneer life artifacts like handmade nails, furniture, farm implements, and period clothing. Our interactive displays feature genealogy resources, personal pioneer documents, and old photographs. We also offer dedicated activities for children, such as pioneer games, dress-up, and hands-on artifact exploration. Our knowledgeable volunteers and docents are always available to provide personalized research assistance and help you connect with your ancestral heritage.
